Maria Ziaka

		Born in Preveza
1966 -1970		studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence
1970-1974		continued her studies in painting and engraving at the Byam Shaw School, at the City and Guilds of London art school and interior design at the Hammersmith – Chelsea in London
1977		Together with nine other engravers founded the “Engravers Group” in Athens. They exhibited their work in Athens and many other Greek towns until 1980
1978		She participated in collective interventions in public spaces, such as mural paintings in Athens.
1983		Founding member of the Greek Engravers Association.
1985		Received First Prize for engraving from the “Fine Arts and Letters”
1989		The group “Engraving Center”, which exhibits in Greece and abroad was formed.
1997		Received First Prize for engraving from the “Fine Arts and Letters”.
